After a quiet and joyful celebration in France—surrounded by our closest friends and family—we sealed our love in an intimate moment that felt deeply to us.
But in Kazakh tradition, a wedding is never only one day… and never only one place. Across the wide steppe, under an endless sky, another celebration is waiting for us.
A celebration where family is vast, where elders bless the union, and where the shanyrak — the symbol of home and continuity — is passed on to a new generation.
Our Kazakh family, big, warm, and deeply connected to tradition, couldn’t be with us in France.
So now, it’s our turn to travel.
We are heading to Kazakhstan to celebrate a traditional Kazakh wedding:
to hear the bata spoken by our elders,
to gather around a generous dastarkhan,
to be surrounded by relatives near and far,
and to honour customs that have lived for centuries.
This is where two families meet — French and Kazakh.
And two histories unite into one shared future.
Before heading to Aktobe we would love to meet you in Almaty and explore around
Let’s meet in Almaty a week before the wedding to explore Kazakhstan together. From Charyn Canyon to Kolsay Lakes and the Almaty mountains, we’ll share the beauty of the country before heading to Aktobe together.
